Procedure Fees and Policies

Complimentary Consultation (New Clients) A free consultation for any permanent makeup or corrective tattooing procedure is required before the procedure appointment is scheduled. (Special arrangements can be made for out-of-town or out-of-state clients.) There is no charge for a consult with Dr. Reed up to 30 minutes. More than one person may attend a consultation at no extra charge. A free consult for permanent eyebrows does not include a full eyebrow redesign and drawing.* If you must reschedule a consultation, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours notice. [* A face and eyebrow analysis with designing is done at the eyebrow tattoo appointment. If an eyebrow redesign is desired ahead of time to try out a new look, a $50.00 fee will be charged that is applied toward the permanent eyebrow fee if that procedure is booked within 30 days.] All Permanent Makeup Procedure Fees Include: Initial consultation; medical history review; facial shape analysis; custom makeup design; custom pigment color selection; unlimited use of anesthetics; 100% disposable, new, unused sterile needles and procedure supplies; allergy patch test (if desired); digital before and after photos; complete aftercare kit with prescription ointments and supplies; and free membership in referral reward and color refresher programs. |

Second Applications (Makeup Procedures)
New permanent makeup is a two-step process. Most other permanent makeup technicians charge up front for both procedures and allow only a 30-45 day limit for the second visit before an additional fee is charged. Our policy is different: You pay when services are actually performed. A longer time for follow-up visits is also allowed before there may be an additional fee. Our second application fees (follow-ups) apply to procedures completed within 90 days of the intial procedure. (If the second application is performed after 90 days, an additional fee of $50 minimum will be charged as more work will be required.)
Permanent Makeup Upgrades
If a client decides to "upgrade" a procedure at the second visit (ex. change from blended lip liner to a liner with full lip color), the difference between the initial application fees will be added to the second visit fee. This is fair to other clients who paid more initially for the more expensive procedure.

Special Programs
Gift certificates are available. We also offer a "referral reward program" and a "color refresher" program (details will be provided at consultation).
Accepted Payment Methods
Any method of payment is acceptable--cash, check, or credit card. All major credit cards are accepted (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover). All returned checks will incur a $35 handling fee.
Scheduling Appointments,
A deposit of $50.00 is required to hold an appointment for one procedure (a $100.00 deposit is required for 2 procedures on the same day). The deposit will be forfeited if the appointment is cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice (48 hours is required for 2 procedures in the same day). Details will be provided at the consultation appointment when the procedure is scheduled.
Visitors and Children
Due to CDC-OSHA exposure guidelines, visitors will not be allowed in the procedure room unless needed for language translation. Drivers, spouses, etc. can wait in the reception area if desired. California law prohibits tattooing persons under age 18; therefore, children will not be allowed in the procedure room. The reception area is not equipped for children, so it is recommended that child care arrangements be made prior to any appointment.
Office Hours
Dr. Reed is available for procedures and consultations Wednesday through Saturday from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm by appointment only. Evening appointments are available after 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays for free consultations. For office address and directions, please see the "Contact Us" page.
